Brazil
In 2007 we were invited to tender for the supply of jacks to CSA in Brazil for the construction of two new Wiggins type gasholders each to contain 110,000 cubic metres of gas. (58m diameter – 64m height)
In late 2007 the first sets of equipment were shipped. After a short delay in customs, the equipment was on site. On 16 March 2008 the first lift on the first tank was completed. (There was a race between the teams in Taiwan and Brazil to see who could be the first to lift; the difference in time between Taiwan and Brazil meant that the Taiwan gasholder was lifted first.) On 8 December 2008 the final lift (48 in total) of the second gasholder took place.
